Do you like to read or try new books? Then you should try I'm Not a Supermouse by Geronimo Stilton. It is about a mouse named Geronimo that goes on an adventure to a few places (he's scared of lots of things) like the Sahara Desert (because it's really hot there). I'm Not a Supermouse is a great book for kids because this book has colorful pictures and writing, plus it is really funny! You should try this book, it is extremely fantastic!!!

One reason this book is fantastic is because the writing and the illustrations are colorful, most chapter books are black and white but this book isn't (plus all of the books in the series have them). One time I read a word that I didn't know the meaning to it then when I looked to the side of it the mini pictures helped me. I felt very confident that the pictures helped me recognize the word.

Another reason this book is terrific is because there is a funny character, Geronimo Stilton. One time he got stuck inside an elevator for one night and didn't realize he had a cellphone in his pocket, it was good that he just finished shopping and got a book from the library, the next morning his cellphone rang and he finally notices his friend was calling, he was so relieved that he had his phone with him. It made me laugh out loud!

I'd recommend this book for 2nd graders and 3rd graders, the next time you are looking for a new book to read try......I'm Not a Supermouse to read or any time you would like to read it plus it's a wonderful book for KIDS!

An exciting and awesome adventure!

When Geromino Stilton was trapped in a lift and was claustrophobic, he was not aware that his friend Bruce decided to take him on a survival course that took him to the hot Sahara, chilly North Pole, terror of the jungle and the darkness of caves. The best part of the story was that Geronimo demonstrated the usefulness of the skils acquired when the mayor sought his help when a storm flooded a town in the northern part of Mouse Island. He has transformed from one who is indecisive and fearful to someone who was able to stay calm, assess the situation, and devise a rescue plan.

A good read for kids who hate to read

The Geronimo STilton series is a very easy going read for those children who do not enjoy reading. They are very well illustrated and easy flow reading with a large print. These books are well recomended for children suffering from dyslaxia. The stories are good and help when it comes to essay writing. Highly recomended.

About the Author
A distinguished professor of economics at Pepperdine University's Seaver College, Robert Sexton is a graduate of California Lutheran College and received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Colorado. This Symposium was designed to bring together scientists and technologists interested in the adhesion aspects of polymeric coatings, to provide a forum for discussion of latest findings, and to provide an opportunity for cross-pollination of ideas. The technical program contained a total of 46 papers by authors from various corners of the world. The program comprised both invited overviews and contributed original research papers, as this blend is the best way to present the state of knowledge of a topic. Solid presentation of 7 tough objections

Nicky Gumbel covers 7 "big" objections to the Christian faith in this little book. The 7 being:

- Suffering
- Other Religions
- Sex Before Marriage
- The New Age
- Homosexuality
- Science & Christianity
- The Trinity

I felt he covered some of the issues better than others. In particular, I enjoyed the chapters on "Science & Christianity" and "The New Age" giving me information I previously lacked.

Some of the chapters provided me with confidence that my own thinking on the matter was aligned, particularly "Sex before Marriage" and "Homosexuality".

And then there were a couple that I was a little disappointed in. In particular, "Suffering" I felt was written to a Christian audience rather than a non-believer. I don't think Gumbel addressed the issue of "why is suffering happening to me?" Yes, it may be the fact that someone is exercising their choose to be hurtful and cruel, so, for example, when crimes are committed against others. But I don't think he addressed the perspective of the person suffering. Yes, a crime was committed by why on them?

But a very useful small book that I expect I will refer to again on some of the matters covered.

Definitely worth a read.

Note: I read the 1998 edition so this 2011 updated version may have addressed some of my concerns.

Poisonous book

Whatever good you feel has been done by the Alpha course, Mr. Gumbel demonstrates in this book his poisonous homophobia. I was recommended this book in the mid-90s and was shocked to read it. I am afraid that people who have been inspired by Alpha will pick up this book and believe it is all right to be mean-spirited and prejudiced against people because of their sexual orientation, since that is what Mr. Gumbel expounds on here. Shame on him. This is not what the world needs.

Poetry is a hard art form to review. I will say this, however; Hilborn really Poor's his heart into these pages. Its a bit short but if you're into poetry it is worth every penny. My copy is full of highlighted and marked pages. If you want to see his style before you buy, check out some of his poems on YouTube!

Neil Hilborn is one of my favorite spoken word poets. I came across him and Rudy Fransisco a few years ago and I've been in love since. When I heard that Neil released his own book full of his poems, I had to buy it. I received it a few days ago and I'm blown away and can't stop reading. I have so many annotations and notes for my favorite lines, etc. I really think anyone who is a fan of Neil's or of poetry in general, would love this

I saw some of his spoken word online a few months ago and automatically fell in love with his poetry. I can't do the book justice in a review but I would recommend it to anyone. Neil Hilborn's poetry is at once personal and relatable, and has already become a major influence on how I write. Read this book, and you'll be better for it.
