A change for the better.

I do truly believe in Feng Shui. I believe you need harmony for happiness, wealth, and to prosper. I never knew how to start though. This book has really gave me some great ideas about how to get started getting my life on the right track by using feng shui. I already started trying to rearrange my living room the get a positive flow. It will take time and practice but if you use the advice in this book you will be able to master feng shui and bring some peace and harmony into your life. I believe it also brings beauty and light into your life also. I received this book at a discount for an honest review. I recommend it for anyone needing a change for the better in there life.

Not worth the effort

Am I missing something?!? I see many great reviews for this book and it's the most useless Feng Shui book I've ever read. And I could only manage half way through! Anyone who has studied Feng Shui for more than a few years will not be impressed. If you're interested in learning Eight Directions School (which this is) there are much better volumes to choose.
My copy was so badly written, obviously it was never proofed before printing. And where are the credentials? Anyone who thinks they're expert enough to write a book should be willing to put in some background information. Yes, there are some basic tips (some of which are incorrect) but there's not enough detailed info. Why tell the reader they need to know their personal element, auspicious directions and kua number and then not tell them how to do that? At least add a birthdate chart in the appendix so the reader doesn't have to search out additional sources.
This is the only item I've ever had to return to Amazon. There are over fifty Feng Shui volumes on my bookshelf,and I didn't care to add this one to the collection. Again, if you're just investigating Feng Shui, this may be a valid purchase, but not really worth the money!!!

Lovely Wicked Games!

This is Sasha Wagstaff's second book and I'm embarrassed to say even though I have her first book "Changing Grooms," I was so excited after hearing about this one, I decided to read this first!

Wicked Games certainly lives up to its name, although you aren't entirely sure why they are being played in the first place. You can get hints, but it just adds to the allure of the story.

Besides being enthralling, one of the best points is that all of the sex is written well and relevant. You can see the closeness between a couple or how wrong things are from the few sex scenes.

Now to get to the plot. There are a lot of characters and even though it may seem that one plot line has nothing to do with the other, they are all related. This book is extremely well written in that regard. Plus it has one of my favorite themes, "The Forbidden Lovers."

I loved the Maguires. And not all of the Harringtons were bad either. It was great to see characters and situations which had mostly shades of grey with a little black and white thrown in for comparison.

All in all, I'm not disappointed at all I decided to read this book first! I will definitely be reading "Changing Grooms" in the near future and her next release "Heaven Scent" is also on my tbr list!

Wagstaff's twenty -first chapter is marvellous. Its got excellent descriptive writing . The image of Lochlin pulling Judd away from the fire is handled beautifully and the way Tavvy gets her family together is wonderful. The saving of Pemberton is reminiscent of the work of Barbara Taylor Bradford and the aftermath is an acknowledgement of Bradford's influence. Unfortunately much of the other Wagstaff chapters are boring.

Wow, what can I say, this was a really brilliant idea. All the maps and charts you get from different lectures compressed into one book-- AWESOME. In fact I'm using it right now to go through hemostasis. Love the format, love the blank pages for writing. Love everything about this book. Buy it and there will be no regrets!

Great for graduate school pathophysiology

I'm using this book for a MSN (nurse practitioner) pathophysiology course, and it's great! Common disorders are "mapped" in such a fashion as to make it convenient to understand the exact, straightforward mechanisms involved in a disease process. What typically takes several pages in a conventional pathophysiology text to explain about a disorder (e.g., DIC, hyperthyroidism, complement cascade, hypersensitivity reactions, etc.) is nicely depicted (i.e., mapped) on one page, which makes the format excellent for reviewing concepts and preparing for exams. The material in this book is not "watered down" either; the material is technical and the reader should have a solid understanding of normal physiology. (This book should be used in conjunction with other pathophysiology books.) I would not recommended this text for undergraduate students; however, it is a needed resource (and great investment) for graduate level work (NP programs) and definitely for medical students. You won't be disappointed, and the price is right too!

MedMaps helped take a lot of subjects and compressed each subject into one page.
I used the book and added information,like pharmacology and more pathology and then used it to review for exams.Its like making your own review book while your studying.
The format is easy to use with a note page and the material is perfect for second year med school.It is accurate and up to date.

After reading the Bible I knew there was much more that I had not been taught in my Presbyterian USA church. I had an incredibale spiritual transformation at 16 and all I knew was that I had been "born again". 20 years later I begin to search and found this book. I knew that I could relate to an Episcoplian Priest. He explained a prayer language (tongues)and helped me to understand exactly what it was and how to actually activate it in my life. A MUST for those who are digging deeper and that believe.
