A Must Have

I have been studying God's Word in relationship to Quantum physics for several years now and there is definitely a connection. At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to investigate all of this, but the more I looked into it, the more I knew it was a knowledge now being released to God's people, one we have to learn to walk in.

I listen to a lot of teaching tapes by some of the finest Christian teachers that merge our Christian walk with Quantum but I'll tell you this book brought everything home. In just a few pages author, Anette Capps, takes the mystery out of Quantum Faith and brings it down to a level that is easy to understand and start applying in our everyday walk as Christians. I don't know about you, but I want a victorious life and one that is a testimony to Jesus.The knowledge in this book will help bring us there. Anette clearly explains how our Lord walked in these principals and how He has given them to us, if we will only take the time to understand them. We need to seek them out, pray, and than use them in our lifes. WE are to have a victorious life and be overcomers. Walking in Quantum Faith is another step towards that victory.

I highly recommend this book and I am sure I will receive a lot of angry posts for doing it. Sorry, you need to open your eyes and receive the next step in your walk with God. It is an exciting one. Get this book...read it...apply the information. It could change your life.

This book is well-meant and has some very nice "declarations" for a person to use to strengthen his or her faith in certain ways. But if a person is hoping to reconcile quantum physics with faith in faith....it won't work unless the reader knows nothing about quantum physics. Ms. Capps doesn't completely grasp the fundamentals of quantum physics, so her attempts to explain how they support the precepts of faith won't convince anyone who has a more accurate basic understanding of what quantum physics says about our world experience or "reality" today. It's not an expensive book, so it's not a loss to read it, but I believe there are better books (more expensive of course) that would be more convincing for a person who knows something about the science but is seeking to work what it teaches into their faithful stance. I'm researching these "other" books now, so I don't have any recommendations for you.

LIFE CHANGEING INFORMATION. SMALL PACKAGE.

As a born again believer I had always thought that science was almost always in conflict with the foundations of my core beliefs. But after reading this wonderful little book it challenged me to learn all that I could about the strange world of quantum physics. I learned about the weird actions of the electron. How the electron that orbits the nucleus is not always in particle form. But at times exists in an invisible wave like state (like a cloud,everywhere at once) until the very act of observation causes this invisible matter to blink into existence in a particle form. Some of the question that Annette brought out were the same questions that I had. How does the electron know that some one is looking at it, and why does it react somewhat differently for each observer? Was it responding according to what the scientist believes? This really shook me to my core, and a verse in Hebrews chapter 11 verse 1 was brought to my mind. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Verse 3 also says that through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Could we perhaps be talking about a very part of the spiritual realm? Perhaps the very act of speaking and declaring the Word of God bring into manifestation the signs and miracles that we so desperately need in this day and time. The more I studied this invisible world of quantum physics I found no roadblocks to hinder my faith but only more reasons to believe in the existence of an almighty God more magnificent and wonderful then I had henceforth dared to believe. A word of caution however. Our enemy (Satan) is still using the same tactics that he used on Eve in the Garden of Eden. In Genesis chapter 3 verse 5 while trying to get her to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he told Eve For God does know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened,and ye shall be as gods,knowing good and evil. there are some individuals who take a portion of the truth found in quantum physics and run with it in all kinds of different directions, with some even claiming that we can become our own gods. In fact this is the only issue that I have with Annette book is the 2 books that she recommends for more study. I feel a better choice would be titles by John Polkinghorne, Bernard Haisch, Henry F Schaefer, Gerald L Schroeder, or a book soon to be published called Elsewhen by David Van Koevering. In closing However I highly recommend this book by Annette Capps.

encouraging

The author has done a very good job in pointing out that the Law Of Attraction is not in contradiction with the bible and as a matter fact, the bible is full of examples of it. The author also doing a very good job with verses in the bible (OT & NT) in order to illustrate what need to be done in order to activate the LOA and thus, giving the much desired results. While I agree completely with the author concerning the principles of LOA, I do, however, want to point out that the author is missing one key ingredient and that is TAKING ACTION.Yes, you do need to ask by getting clear about what is you really want and yes, you do need to have some degree of faith (that is by taking the feeling of wish fulfilled) but you also need to follow it through by taking inspired action. Now, I don't want to be preachy, but that is what seems to be missing from most of LOA books. "In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." (james 2:17 NIV). Overall, this is a very good book. It's concise and straight to the point. For those who new to LOA, I recommend it as your reference.

The Bible and The Law of Attraction

This is a GREAT BOOK!!! For those who have strong religious and/or spiritual beliefs like I do, this is a book that is easy to read and clearly shows that the Law of Attraction was actually being practiced, and taught for thousands of years. Here is what dawned on me when I read the book. It is not referred to as the Law of Attracton in the Bible, that is a more modern terminology. However, all of the principles of the Law of Attraction were definitely being taught and used. After reading this GREAT BOOK, I read another GREAT BOOK "Jesus Taught It Too, the Early Roots of the Law of Attraction." Between these 2 books, as a former licensed member of the clergy who was called to another path in the service of the Lord, it left zero doubt in my mind that the Law of Attraction is both real and was actually instructed by the Lord himself, although he never called it the Law of Attraction. These were the two books that started me on an inquenchable thirst for as much information as I can find on how to make the Law of Attraction work for us instead of against us; because, as I have discovered, the Law of Attraction is always working regardless of our acceptance of it or our denial. For those who have strong religious or spiritual tendencies, especially, I have to say that this book is a MUST READ. Enough Said.

Enlightening Read

Mr. Alon offers clarity regarding the Law of Attraction. It's a great book and I highly recommend it to readers who want the answers to what it really takes to manifest abundance in their lives. I hope we will be hearing more from this author, he is very knowledgeable about the subject matter and has a lot to offer.
Make the Law of Attraction work for you and read this wonderful book.

Truth( not fiction) this book also became a prediction.

I first read this book while I was in Southeast Asia in late 1967 or early 1968. It was a shocker. I was living this book "in the flesh" even as I read it. Originally titled, "Sarkhan" it could easily have been Viet Nam, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, or Burma. While I wasn't a major player I experienced much of what was written by Msrs. Lederer and Burdick. I was stationed in northern Thailand, had a Hong Kong Passport, and spent many days aloft with Air America (CIA) flying to train Laotian and Cambodian troops on repair and maintenance of T-28 aircraft armament systems. I only wore a uniform while on base. This book seemed to have vanished from the bookshelves for many years (actually the U. S. Government had it removed.) First printed as "Sarkhan" in the fall of 1965, it didn't show up again until it was reprinted as "The Deceptive American" in 1977. I didn't run across a copy until December of 1998 in the Rockford, IL Public Library. Of and on I searched for "Sarkhan" for more than 30 years. For anyone who is a student of the Viet Nam series of conflicts this book summarizes the deception of the American public that took place under both the Johnson and Nixon Administrations. While still a novel, it would fall awfully close to "fact" if a few of the names were changed. I enjoyed it the first time I read it and my suspicions (concerning our Government pulling it off the shelves in the interest of security) were confirmed in the Preface of the 1977 version. Thank you Mr.Lederer.

Found at last-Missing Book Reappears Under New Title!

I first read this book under the title of "Sarkhan" as a college student in 1970. I was so impressed with the book that I have told friends about it for the last 30 years. This was the most insightful of the books about Vietnam available at a time when everyone was terribly concerned about what was developing there. As a political science major I was particularly interested in the steps that drew us into the Vietnam war. I have been frustrated for years about what happened to this book and why it literally disappeared from existence. If you are a history or political science buff this is a must read and if you have not read these authors other book"The Ugly American" I suggest you read it also. The new title,"The Deceptive American",may be more accurate than the original.

Allan Havis has taught theatre and film over three decades at University of California, San Diego. As a playwright, his work has been produced widely in the U.S. and also in Europe. I had the pleasure of taking a seminar on Cult Films of the 1950's-2000's with Allan Havis back in the Winter of 2009, and this was "textbook" we read for the class. As someone who knew nothing about what cult films were, this book provided me with the background information and analysis I needed to supplement the ideas we discussed.

Good Intro to Cult Films

I bought this book to augment my research for a project in a cult cinema course I took. While It doesn't really offer a clear, definitive definition of cult, nor does it offer a checklist for its criteria, it's a worthy academic text that probes the annals of film history and presents some classics deserving of a closer look.

Six weeks in--almost nothing but praise for this book. // SIX MONTH UPDATE // FINAL UPDATE

Today I finish Week 6 in this book, and I honestly have only good things to say about it. Well--only good things at the end of it all, that is.

* Its day-by-day structure helps easily-distracted players like me keep a schedule. It will quickly become useless if you miss days, skip exercises, or try to use it irregularly. With that in mind, I've been able to stick with it every day, which keeps me playing everyday. Quite the feat. You COULD try to use it as a source for guitar licks, but that's not what this is meant to be and there are better books for that.

* If one's serious about using this as the skeleton to their practice method, as I have, you actually have to develop an advancement system on your own. They don't provide one. You have the daily exercise in notation and tab, a couple short paragraphs on what it's teaching and a quick tip on how to properly play it, or how to get a little more out of it (such as switching up the picking style, etc.), the bpm speed range that the rhythm CD will provide, and a couple other small tidbits of information. Unless you're an extremely gifted player, you're not going to master even the first lick at its top speed of 112 bpm on the first day. You need to keep coming back to it for a while. Also, by the time you get to the first Friday's exercise, there's no way you'll master it the first day--I still goof it up. Plus, rushing through each one to max out the speed is not useful. You need to spend time with each one at slower speeds before cranking up the metronome. Such is basic practice knowledge.
It took me a bit, but I developed a plan of attack that I like. I start each new exercise at the slowest recommended staring speed, so far 40 bpm in every case. Once I've practiced it for a while and feel that I have it down at that speed, I bump the metronome up +10 bpm to 50, and move to yesterday's exercise, which I did yesterday at 40. Once I have that down at 50, I go +10 bpm again to the day before yesterday's exercise, which I did yesterday at 50, and so on, all the way up to 10 bpm past the top recommended speed for the exercise a little over a week ago. On days when I don't have much time, I'll do my best to just quickly learn the new exercise so I can practice it more at 50 bpm the next day. Thankfully I've only needed to do that a couple times. At first I struggled with "putting away" the much older exercises when I get so far from them, but was able to relax when I reminded myself that . . .

* Each day of the week is always the same technique area. Monday is always alternate picking. Tuesday is always string skipping. Saturday is always legato (hammer-ons, pull-offs, slides). Etc. In addition to that, each new week's exercise builds on or expands the previous week's, in most cases. I was actually getting frustrated with it at one point because of that. How many legato sequences can you build out of the same Am pentatonic scale? But then one week, it switched up dramatically enough that it felt new again. This at first seemed to me like lazy writing, but I changed my opinion. It is SO important that it is done this way. It's baby steps. Even advanced players need baby steps with new stuff and with mastering new techniques. Also, this helps my personal practice approach to the book--since, for example, this Thursday's arpeggio exercise is building yet again on the same ideas from the Thursday exercise from 2, 3, 4 weeks ago, I don't need to keep practicing those ones. I'm slowly building the complexity, which means I'm able to fly through the old ones without hindrance. With this slow build, however, keep in mind . . .

* There are a LOT of exercises here. If you stick with this and actually do this over an entire year, it would be impossible for it to not improve your playing. That's not because the book is magical or something, or so amazingly clever, but because to do so means you're practicing regularly and advancing slowly but surely. At the start of my sixth week of this book, I was getting a little frustrated that I'd been at it for seemingly so long but so little progress in regards to the complexity of the exercises had been made. So I took some time to finally put both the rhythm CD and the exercise examples CD onto my iPod for easy access. Well, I had to type out and name all 53 tracks on the example CD, and got reminded about how many exercises there really are. Today I do exercise 42. Of 365. My weeks aren't even in double digits yet.

So in the end, this is a great book if you use it exactly how they suggest. Don't make it your only book or source--be sure to throw in some scale sequences, chord progressions, exercises to memorize the note structure of the fretboard, music theory study, and get some tab or something for some songs you like, too--but this book can easily be your daily motivation.

SIX MONTH UPDATE

Today I started week 27 of 52 in Guitar Aerobics. Yes, I've stuck with it 100%, and my opinion has remained absolutely the same as it was four and a half months ago. The only thing that has changed is my personal advancement system that I described before, which is now a week-by-week system where I perfect all seven exercises over the seven days in a given week, using both a metronome and the provided drum tracks, and then come the next Monday I start with seven new exercises and do the process over again. These daily exercises keep me immersed in a variety of techniques and genres and regularly challenge me with stuff I wouldn't have thought of on my own--and more often than not, with stuff that I wouldn't have ran into any other way--and my focus is form and technique rather than getting the exercise to "sound right." Not only has my playing noticeably improved, but I've developed new skills as well, my personal favorite being hybrid picking. I can say with absolute certainty that I never would have tried hybrid picking had it not been for this book.

Again, let me reiterate that my satisfaction and success with Guitar Aerobics is not because it's the most brilliant guitar book ever written or anything like that, but instead because it provides the core of the daily motivation that I lacked in previous attempts to maintain a practice schedule (in that the book becomes pointless once you start being careless about keeping up with it). It's not flawless. I do have a few gripes, but nothing that ruins the book and nothing that I'll list so as to avoid leading anyone into opinions they might not have had otherwise. I'll do a final update again in six months. Until then: If you are looking for a guitar book with lots in it, a wide variety of things to learn, and a structure that makes it easy to keep a schedule, then you certainly can't go wrong with this one.

FINAL UPDATE

Unfortunately I cannot hold my head high and say I made it through all 52 weeks. I got to week 44 and stalled in light of life and frustration with the monotony of this book and finally, after six weeks of not being able to stick with it anymore, put it away. I said in my last update that I didn't want to list any gripes that I have in fear that I would influence someone else to have those same gripes, where they may otherwise not. Well . . . I'll loosen that rule up a little in order to state what I think is a valid "heads-up" to anyone who sets out on the same quest as me: brace yourself for a lot of mind-numbing monotony; like, more than you expect. For example, every Friday is a sweep-picking exercise. You'll learn that there's a five-exercise (or is it seven?) cycle that gets repeated throughout almost the entire book. After about 25-30 weeks of this, it can become too much to bear. The authors fall back on this repetitive crutch for several other days of the week, too (though Fridays are by far the biggest place for it). This doesn't ruin the book--after all, it's about getting better at guitar and not about entertainment, so monotony is part of the deal--but I think knowing what you're in for a little more might help one to weather more of it than I eventually could.

This is still a 5-star book in my opinion, though. As I've stated before, without this book providing the daily motivation, I wouldn't have advanced to where I am on guitar nearly as much. I had a solid 7-8 months of 90 to 180 minutes of daily practice largely due to using this book. I'll take it back out eventually, too, and maybe try to advance through it a different way or a different pace. It's by far the most important guitar book I own.

Pretty nicely organized

The author spotlights 7 important techniques (alternate picking, arpeggios, sweep picking, string skipping, legato, string bending, and rhythm guitar) one for each day of the week, and builds on each every week. So every Monday is alternate picking day, and builds on the lesson of the Monday before. It's a great idea. The author says that an intermediate player can skip to around week 17 and an advanced player can probably go to week 36. I'd say I'm lower intermediate, after some 10 years of playing both steel-string acoustic and electric. I've worked my way through the first 10 weeks of lessons in 4 or 5 days. I find some of the skills like string bending, arpeggios, legato, and rhythm to be very easy, but I've never done sweep picking and found it to be a challenge. And the string skipping is something I've never done much concentrated work on, so it's great. I'm sure that when I get up to week 17 the other skills will get more challenging for me.

JR has a good point that there's not as much guidance on technique as I'd like on a couple of things. I think he was overly critical though. There are short notes on each day's lesson about technique. One was to keep the fretting pinky in place on the G while you shift from a G to an E chord - it helped me to stop fumbling around for the E shape. Another that I have not mastered, is in sweep arpeggios, to mute each note after you play it by slightly releasing the pressure on the fretting finger. That's one that I would like more details on, because I find it hard to do, especially if I'm barring the 1st and second string with my index finger on say the 3rd fret while catching the 3rd string with my middle finger. Do I roll them off, or do I ease up on all strings between each pick?

Anyhow, I like the breakdown into small bite-size daily chunks that I can spend 10 or 15 minutes on a day, as part of my regular practice.

Counter to the lower ratings

Under normal circumstances I am not one to take the time to write book reviews. This is going to be short and to the point. Disregard the reviews that do not give this book a high rating. I am a beginner and dearly wish that I had purchased this book before spending hundreds, maybe thousands, of dollars on worthless instruction books and lessons from mediocre guitar teachers.

The critics are correct in their statements that the book does not contain thorough instruction on each and every aspect, i.e. holding the pick, building speed, how to hold your mouth, etc., of playing the guitar. But, look at the price of it...... There are pages and pages of free material on the internet regarding the actual mechanics of playing. This book provides exactly what is advertised; useful exercises for "Developing, Improving, and Maintaining Guitar Technique"

If you are fortunate enough to have stumbled across this book before spending countless dollars on other worthless material and instruction, consider yourself blessed and buy this book.

About the Author
Linda E. Martin, EdD, is Professor of Elementary Education at Teachers College, Ball State University, where she serves as Director of Doctoral Programs for the Department of Elementary Education. For over two decades, she has worked with teachers across grades to develop effective literacy practices. Dr. Martin served for 7 years as a professional development liaison for Ball State, and helped to implement two large grants focused on teachers' literacy instruction in urban schools in the Midwest.

Sherry Kragler, PhD, is Associate Professor of Childhood Education and Literacy Studies at the University of South Florida. She was previously a classroom teacher, curriculum specialist, and Title I reading teacher/coordinator. Dr. Kragler has worked with primary-grades teachers to improve their reading instruction and has conducted professional development programs on content-area reading, comprehension instruction, portfolio assessment, and other areas.

Diana J. Quatroche, PhD, is Professor and Chair of the Department of Elementary, Early, and Special Education in the Bayh College of Education at Indiana State University. In addition to her classroom teaching experience, she has supervised school reading programs and coordinated Title I reading programs. She served for 6 years as a professional development liaison for Indiana State University, and developed the first professional development school while a faculty member at Southeast Missouri State University.

Kathryn L. Bauserman, PhD, is Associate Professor in the Department of Elementary, Early, and Special Education in the Bayh College of Education at Indiana State University. She has cowritten and codirected five different 2-year grant projects in Indiana that focus on graduate-level teacher professional development through workshops for teachers.

About the Author

Roger Friedland is a cultural sociologist who studies love, sex, and God. Professor of Religious Studies and Sociology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and New York University, he is also the coauthor of The Fellowship: The Untold Story of Frank Lloyd Wright and the Taliesin Fellowship (with Harold Zellman). He lives with his wife in Santa Barbara, California.

Looking at Love Through Rome-Colored Glasses

Amore is about a family who moved from California to Rome for two years as the two daughters transitioned to their teen years. Roger Friedland, the father, is a professor of sex and religion at UC Santa Barbara, a school which has a bit of a party reputation. He'd learned enough about the students' sex lives to be alarmed at the idea of his daughters becoming women in a hook-up atmosphere where even middle school kids are engaging in presidential sex acts. Having lived in Rome several times over the years, the Friedlands decide that Italy will be a healthier environment to learn about sex and love.

Friedland is a romantic and tends to see what he wants to see. Yes, the statistics show that rape is rare in Italy (throughout the book, Friedland uses "Rome" and "Italy" almost interchangeably - perhaps Rome really is representative of Italy as a whole) and that divorce is also rare. He acknowledges that couples in Rome who might divorce in America stay married in Italy and have affairs. He seems to think that's good for the children and maybe it is, but there are no statistics for that. He also admits that what we would consider sexual harrassment in America (unwanted touching, staring, crude comments) is commonplace in Italy, but that the women there seem to handle it with aplomb. Perhaps most annoyingly, he tries to blame feminism for the broken families in America. By going out to earn livings, women have destroyed the family unit and emasculated men. This seems willfully blind to the fact that it has been some decades now since a single income has been enough for most families to live comfortably.

He talks about the Catholic church and how it influences the Italians, about the financial slump that keeps Italian children from finding jobs and moving out of their parents' homes. He discusses his own parents and his and his wife's struggle to become parents. And from time to time he even talks about the daughters, ending with what seems almost an afterthought, that for one of them, it was not a romantic interlude at all or as the subtitle suggests, a Roman holiday. Quite the opposite.

Offensive on so many levels

Faced with anxiety about the "coming of age" of his daughters in the modern social atmosphere of meaningless American hook ups, Roger, a father and professor of sex and religion, makes the decision to move his family to Rome in order to avert the onslaught of sexual opportunities his daughters will face in their formative years.

Having lived in Rome previously, he sees the city as a barrier to the bad American environment and perhaps the girls can learn a thing or two about love and sex from the peoples who know best - the Italians.

I have to admit that Roger annoyed me quite a bit as I'm not one of those people who think Europe is superior to all things American. Having spent a good amount of time in Italy, personally, I can say the atmosphere feels more promiscuous and the problem of adultery in Italy is comparable to no other country. It's rampant. But Roger thinks dishonesty and cheating and the sexual harassment women face on a daily basis in Italy is a better example for his daughters. Italy is still very much a man's world and to me, Roger's decision to force his girls to live in that kind of environment comes off as patriarchal and oppressive. He wants to teach his daughters to accept male dominance with style and he also feels that it's women's faults for destroying the traditional male-dominated family system by becoming independent and joining the workforce (amongst other things). So he's also not a big fan of feminism either. To be even more offensive, he uses Catholicism to suggest a certain level of piety exists in Italy and not in America. Or that it's used to keep people in line, as he seems to think it should be.

Roger is a bit of a jerk. But that's just me.

I'm just not a fan of this book. What else can I say?

To Rome: A Love Letter On Steroids . . . .

This memoir/travel book sounded so interesting. But, in the beginning of the book, the way Roger Friedland kept going on and on about Rome made me wonder: Is he going to keep on like this? Well, yes and no. He does change the subject to other things, such as his family, but that, too, would go on and on. For example, he and his wife had infertility problems, so there is a long detailed account of the matter in the book, much like the long, detailed articles one reads in women's magazines. Oh, and don't get the author started about the sexual mores of today's youth. Once again, he just goes on and on and on about the topic. He obviously doesn't know when to stop talking about anything or anyone. It's too much information too much of the time. Thus, instead of feeling enlightened or charmed by the end of the book, I had extremely negative feelings about Rome, Santa Barbara, teenagers, college kids, Roger Friedland and his family. Moreover, I can't imagine at all this book helping to reverse "love's erosion in America", or helping to increase tourism in Rome.

The Love Story Was A Bit Underdeveloped

Cole desperately wants to sell his company, but the potential buyer demands that Cole fall in love and have a wife before he'll follow through with the deal. When Cole agrees to give Kiona more money than she ever thought she'd make in a lifetime, she decides to go along with Cole's plan and marries him. Both of them know the marriage is merely a short-term business transaction but they didn't plan on actually falling in love.

The part of the storyline in which the sale of Andrews Enterprises is contingent upon Cole getting married is preposterous, but I'm willing to suspend belief when it comes to fiction. I admire the fact that Mia Caldwell wrote a multi-layered BWWM love story centered around plots involving corporate espionage, terminal illness, and mental health issues.

Even though I liked Kiona and Cole, the sexual tension leading up the consummation of their relationship was lacking. By the time they gave in to their feelings and expressed their love for each other, there wasn't much of a payoff. Every now and then you'd be reminded that the two of them were attracted to each other, but more time could have been spent depicting the emotional connection that ultimately led to them falling in love.

Another issue that I've had with a lot of these billionaire love stories is that the female protagonist constantly talks about the fact that the man is a billionaire. We get it! He's a billionaire. You don't need to keep repeating it during every conversation and internal monologue. It gets tiresome. Being with a man who is successful and has resources is great but when the female protagonist keeps talking about his money, it undermines the notion that the woman truly loves the man for who he is.

Hot, heavy, PASSIONATE read! Raising the stakes with every burning chapter!

This is the only novel that I just HAD read in a single sitting... and what a rollercoaster of emotion!

Kiona "Key" Walker starts off strong, showing us exactly how expendable everyone is to her. From the prologue and chapter one, you know PRECISELY how she operates and what kind of protagonist she's going to be... and then you meet COLE. Calm, collected, and with a hell of a few secrets... each new revelation just made you look at EVERYTHING with new eyes.

I BLITZED through this, biting my nails. And when you finally find out EXACTLY what his biggest secret is, and why he keeps everyone out...let's just say I am SO FREAKING GLAD that Mia established the "happily ever after" upfront, because I had NO IDEA how it was going to come together! Every time I thought I'd figured it out, the book told me why that wouldn't work... and I couldn't stop until I knew!

And those sex scenes, god damn!

So much to say... but I'm not spoiling a damn thing. Can I give it SIX stars? SEVEN?

This is a GREAT BOOK, a DEFINITE DO surrounded by too many DON'TS! ! !

I ALMOST MISSED IT ! ! ! ! I am so glad to have read this book. I have found a new Author to add to my "DO" list if you will. This book was very well written. In fact it's so well researched that I'm convinced the author knows someone, if not she herself has been through an experience such as the story depicts. What I know now is that it's getting increasingly difficult finding reputable authors with this level of talent and creativity. Amazon, I imagine is willing to give everyone a chance to sell books, because that is what Amazon does...they sell. It matters little that so many of these tragedies are masquerading as "Books" as long as they sell. I've bought enough of them to call myself an expert on this. With such a ridiculous amount of Billionaire Romances on there to try to sift through, I am tickled to have found the needle in the haystack. I've had to start a "DO" & "DON'T" list for the purpose of weeding out the book-ish imposters. So now I only buy books written by people on the "Do"s. It's the only way to stop wasting my time and money on so much garbage. Thanks Mia Caldwell, you are definitely a DO ! ! !
